TactoTek® and ARRK SPG Sign IMSE® Technology Licensing Agreement, Expanding Smart Surface Manufacturing Capabilities in Europe

TactoTek® and ARRK SPG Sign IMSE® Technology Licensing Agreement, Expanding Smart Surface Manufacturing Capabilities in Europe

Oulu, Finland/Munich, Germany – December 19, 2025 – TactoTek®, the global leader in In-Mold Structural Electronics (IMSE®) technology and licensing, today announced that ARRK SPG Pre-Series Tooling and Prototyping B.V., part of the ARRK Corporation, has joined the IMSE ecosystem as a licensee. The agreement brings ARRK SPG’s renowned pre-series tooling expertise, precision engineering, and long-standing reputation for high quality into the expanding global network of licensed IMSE manufacturers.

As an established development partner to premium automotive, lighting industry, and industrial brands, ARRK SPG strengthens the ecosystem with advanced manufacturing capabilities that support the growing adoption of IMSE technology across Europe. A key strength of IMSE technology is its inherent flexibility to accommodate design changes and evolving requirements throughout the product development process. This aligns seamlessly with ARRK SPG’s operating model, which is built around rapid prototyping, pre-series and low-volume production, and the efficient management of design iterations.

IMSE technology integrates lighting, touch controls, circuit structures, and other electronic functions directly into thin, three-dimensional injection-molded surfaces. This approach transforms conventional component architectures into smart, lightweight, and space-saving designs that enable new levels of differentiation, functionality, and sustainability.

“We are pleased to welcome ARRK SPG as an IMSE licensee,” said Sami Hyyryläinen, Senior Vice President, Licensing, Strategic Sales and Markets Expansion at TactoTek. “ARRK SPG’s exceptional expertise and reputation for providing innovative and sustainable solutions provide an ideal foundation for leveraging IMSE technology among their well-established customer base in Europe. We are delighted to have them on board and are confident they will soon position themselves as a state-of-the-art IMSE manufacturer.”

“Partnering with TactoTek aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting customers with future-ready technologies,” added Roy Joosten, Senior Project Manager at ARRK SPG. “IMSE offers powerful advantages for design expression, integration, and production efficiency. With our strong expertise, we are ready to support brands throughout their development journey and prepare them for industrial-scale production of next-generation smart surfaces. We look forward to helping our customers realize the full potential of IMSE technology in a wide range of applications.”

With ARRK SPG joining the IMSE ecosystem, Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs gain another development and manufacturing partner well-aligned with automotive industry requirements. The collaboration strengthens IMSE as a production-ready technology for next-generation vehicle interiors and exteriors, supporting OEMs from early concept validation through pre-series development to scalable, high-quality automotive-grade implementation.
