Oulu, Finland and Gothenburg, Sweden – September 8, 2026 – TactoTek®, the pioneer of IMSE® (In-Mold Structural Electronics) technology, has signed a technology licensing agreement with AFRY, a leading global engineering, project management, and advisory company. Under the agreement, AFRY joins the IMSE ecosystem as an engineering partner and will apply IMSE technology across its automotive and mobility design and engineering services, helping customers take IMSE-based smart surface solutions from concept to series production.
AFRY brings to the IMSE ecosystem a combination of complete product and vehicle development capability, industrial design, embedded software, and digital engineering, drawn from a broad automotive, industrial, and mobility client base. This allows AFRY to integrate IMSE technology into vehicle programs as part of a complete engineering offering. With AFRY, the ecosystem also gains its first design studio in Europe, together with extensive engineering expertise. AFRY's 18,000 engineers serve clients globally, including through on-site customer assignments.
